Hard drives generate alot of heat and a fan is now considered essential for long life & data security. The drive is USB2 but also supports USB1 and comes pre-formatted and is ready for immediate use. Just plug in, turn on and you're done - these really are that simple to use! Network set up is also easy  with its own web based management application. Supports both Static IP and DHCP address allocation.

Just connect to your router or wireless router and share files instantly on your network. Alternatively,  connect the USB port to a PC and use solely on one machine.

Is It Easy To Use:

Yes very easy to use, basically when you recieve the external hard drive all you need to do is unpack, plug power into wall, usb into computer and turn on. The drive should auto detect and show under my computer as an external drive and be ready to use as any other drive on your computer its really that easy no expert computer knowledge is required.
