Motherboards - AMD Socket A

The motherboard, also sometimes referred to as the main board, is a collection of devices (together on one large circuit board) that control the flow of data and operating electricity for all the primary components in a PC - for example, the CPU, memory, graphics adapter and sound card.

These motherboards support socket A, 754 or 939 processors which are generally found in much older systems. These boards generally have IDE connections onboard for connecting components and will run DDR1 memory.

These motherboards are compatible with desktop computers only and the features available on each board differ so it is important to check the specification of each.
